Attention Utility Customers: We have been emptying, cleaning, and repainting Hickory Plains and Des Arc water towers and will be working on them throughout December as well. This may cause some discoloration in the water. If you are experiencing this, leave the water running for a few minutes to clear out your lines. If this does not help, please call the office at (870) 256-4316 and we will try to get this cleared.

ATTENTION WATER CUSTOMERS!!! Discoloration and/or cloudiness in your water is normal during these weather conditions as everyone has their water running to prevent frozen pipes. The temperature changes and constantly running water will stir up sediment. Also, areas/homes that still have metal pipes can cause more iron to be released into the water due to the pipes expanding and contracting during temperature changes. Running your water for a few minutes can clear this out. The constant running of water may also cause a change in your water pressure. The water is safe.
