The City of Des Arc is aware that not every citizen knows that we have ordinances in place providing for licensing of dogs, prohibiting dogs from running at large within the city limits, and regulating standards and requirements for certain dog breeds.
Ordinance 2018-01 was implemented on March 20, 2018, and due to the large number of violations, the City is providing a 30 day notice to all citizens to allow time to comply with the ordinance currently in place. Beginning July 20, 2024, this ordinance will be fully enforced.
